[Access Development Case] Equipment Maintenance System

Improving business processes with a maintenance plan based on performance data! This is an example of systematizing management that relied on manual paper information and experience-based intuition.

The equipment maintenance system is a case of system development tailored to the customer's environment. 【Challenges Before System Implementation】 - Manual management of parts inventory (using Excel or paper records) leads to discrepancies in stock levels and causes shortages. - Paper-based management of inspection standards and inspection plans makes it difficult to maintain historical records, and they can sometimes be lost. - Equipment failure responses rely on "experience" and "intuition," resulting in delays when the responsible person is unavailable. 【Objectives of Systematization】 1. Accurate maintenance planning … Conduct precise failure analysis to reduce unexpected incidents that lead to productivity loss due to equipment failures. 2. Proper parts inventory management … By managing the inflow and outflow of parts, prevent excess inventory of spare parts and shortages, ensuring optimal stock levels. 3. Prompt response to equipment failures … By sharing and accumulating information, reduce reliance on specific individuals and facilitate smooth handovers of tasks. With the introduction of this system, a business improvement framework has been established to manage all data in one place, enabling the development of maintenance plans, inventory management, and responses to equipment failures based on collected and accumulated data. *For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

[MENTENA Introduction Case] Shinjo Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

Utilizing MENTENA for quality management! Managers can also grasp the status of equipment in a timely manner.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of the maintenance management system "MENTENA" at Shinjo Seisakusho, which is engaged in the manufacturing of essential fastening components and cold forging tools for automobile manufacturing. The company faced challenges such as "inability to perform planned maintenance" and "desire to reduce the burden on the field to meet the maintenance standards required by the international standard IATF16949." In response, we introduced our "MENTENA." As a result, they were able to "understand the status of equipment in real-time" and "easily plan predictive maintenance by grasping the current maintenance situation." 【Challenges】 ■ Maintenance data was managed separately for each factory with multiple locations, making it difficult to comprehensively understand the maintenance status and inventory of replacement parts across multiple sites. ■ There were frequent unplanned maintenance issues, causing maintenance personnel to be constantly occupied with emergency responses, leaving no room for planned maintenance. ■ It was cumbersome to obtain, understand, and manage maintenance data to meet the maintenance requirements specified by the international standard IATF16949. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
